Issue: Rock Financial, a Quicken Loans Company, is Michigan's largest mortgage company. Rock is also the naming sponsor of Michigan's largest, privately owned conference, convention and exhibition center - The Rock Financial Showplace. Rock Financial is also the presenting sponsor for the 2004 NBA World Champion Detroit Pistons. Rock wanted a unique premium giveaway to provide at the grand opening of the Rock Financial Showplace as well as kid's night at the Pistons' first regular season weekend game.

The NEW corporate color large plastic SLINKY was selected as it had high brand recognition, it could be made in the Pistons' red and blue team colors, it could be imprinted with Rock and Pistons' graphics, meet the price point objective AND be delivered in a 2 week timeframe.

The results? Everyone was VERY pleased and the Rock/Pistons SLINKY has become a favorite item in the SLINKY product showcase booth.

M Bank

Issue: M Bank is a small, aggressive, community bank. A new branch was being opened and the branch VP wanted to hold an open house and provide each visitor with a gift that reflected the bank's positive image and attributes.

A Classic silver metal Slinky® was selected and imprinted with M Bank's green identification. The reason for a Slinky® was based on SLINKY'sÆ longevity and success in the market. Slinky®, after 60 years, is still going strong. Plus it's still appealing and recognizable.

The world famous Slinky® jingle was rewritten using an M Bank theme and played as background during the open house. The words were written on a small tag and inserted in a Slinky® Retro Box along with the silver Slinky®.

The results were extremely positive as the bank signed-up a significant number of new accounts.
